I like to start with the hairline around my whole head first, as those areas can be more prone to loss/thinning. Then, I carefully apply it through the rest of my scalp in 1-2 inch sections.

A note on peppermint essential oil: there are occasional anecdotal concerns about heavy peppermint use and milk supply, but evidence is limited and inconsistent. The amount used in this formula is very low and applied topically to the scalp.

As a mom of 4 with over a decade of experience & education in essential oils, I have never seen pure peppermint oil affect milk supply for me or anyone I’ve worked with. As always, monitor your body and adjust use if needed.
